The second annual ASFLA Scandinavian Film Festival was held Jan. 26, 27, 28, 2001 at the Writers' Guild Theater in Beverly Hills. Dubbed "Take Two," the event was the successful sequel to the inaugural showcase of Nordic films and filmmakers in 2000.
Each year the festival pivots around screenings of the Scandinavian films submitted for Oscar consideration in the Academy's "Best Foreign Film" category, with additional screening of shorts and documentaries. The festival provides film professionals, students, and those who simply love film wonderful exposure to Nordic film and filmmakers, as well as a fertile ground for networking.
